Community Resource Centre
Opened in January 2005 the Community Resource Centre is modern complex feauring a comfortable conference room complete with presentation and video conferencing facilities. The Centre also houses the Williams Public Library, Telecentre, Landcare Officer, Ag WA Officer and The Williams Community Paper.
Halls
Williams has a hall complex comprising two halls, District Memorial and RSL Hall with combined kitchen. Both halls and kitchen are suitable for a vast range of activities from indoor sports to weddings and other functions, with hire charges applying, according to usage. The large Memorial Hall has a stage and bar area and is used frequently by the Williams Repertory Club for performances.
Recreation Ground and Pavilion
Built in 1990 with a significant contribution from the Williams Football Club, the Pavilion is used mainly for sporting club social functions and in conjunction with use of the recreation ground facilities. The Pavilion seats up to 120 persons, with bar facilities and is also available for private function hire. The recreation ground is used by various sporting clubs in the area including cricket, football, hockey and touch rugby.
Williams Swimming Pool
The Williams Swimming Pool is generally open six days a week (closed Mondays) from November to March/April every summer. Patrons can enter by paying daily admission charges or obtaining a seasonal pass.
Williams Community Homes, Wandoo Cottages & Sandalwood Court
Council has a total of 12 units available to aged and/or single persons for rental in the Williams townsite. The Williams Community Homes, jointly built by the Federal Government, Williams Lions Club and Council, comprise four, one bedroom self contained units, which are available for rental by persons receiving the aged pension.
Wandoo Cottages were completed in 2005 and comprise two 2-bedroom units avaliable for eligible seniors.
Sandalwood Court located in Growse Street, comprises six 2-bedroom self contained units. Four of these are available for single persons and two for aged persons. Application forms and further information regarding availability of these units can be obtained from the Council Office.
