Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan

As previously reported the Shire of Williams has received a grant from the Office of Crime Prevention to develop a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan for Williams. The Working Group charged with preparation of the Plan recently met and discussed ways that a Plan could be developed with significant community input. It was resolved that a community survey form be forwarded to all residents seeking their views on a range of community safety and crime issues in Williams which will assist in identifying problem areas for the Working Group to consider.

Further funding is available from the Office of Crime Prevention to assist in rectifying the problem areas that are identified. Resident’s cooperation is sought in completing the survey forms which it is anticipated will be distributed in early May.
