Transfer of Land

Every year around rate time Council receives queries regarding rates being incorrectly forwarded where ownership and address details have changed. In most instances settlement agencies are used to process land transfers with one of their legal obligations being to notify the Council, however buyers and/or sellers should ensure this happens as rate records cannot be altered without written advice.

The same applies with a change of address where written advice is also required for records to be updated.
