Subdivision of Large Town Lots
Council has been receiving increased interest from persons interested in creating smaller lots from larger blocks in the Williams townsite. Some years ago Council altered the Residential Density Code from R12.5 to R 20 which allows for lots to be a minimum of 440 square metres for a single house or grouped dwelling. Just from observation of the rear of some lots, it is obvious that most are under utilised as owners do not have fruit trees, chook pens etc as once was quite common. Any landowner interested in such a development should contact a surveyor / planner to ascertain what subdivision is possible. An initial contact with me at the Council office could be helpful also.
