Council Election 2007
Following the close of nominations on Thursday 13th September 2007, five nominations were received for five vacancies, therefore there will not be an election for the Williams Shire on 20 October 2007. The following persons were declared elected for a four year term expiring in 2011:
Moya Carne
Greg Cavanagh
John Cowcher
Gilbert Medlen
Ashley Stone
Current serving Councillors (Moya Carne, Greg Cavanagh, John Cowcher and Ashley Stone) will continue in office and newly elected Councillor Gilbert Medlen’s term will commence on the 21st October.
Elections for the President, Deputy President and Committees will take place at the ordinary meeting on 21 November 2007 or sooner if a special meeting is held.
