Candidate Name       Jarrad Wayne LOGIE

Nominating for            Councillor

Election Type                Ordinary

    LOGIE, Jarrad

First elected in 2009, I have served 3 terms on the Williams Council, including President for over 2 years. I have lived in Williams my whole life and am proud to have raised my 3 children, Connor 16, Noah 14 and Bella 12 here.

I have served to support development within the town and I’m a strong advocate for the improvement of the road network. I believe both Rural & Town aspects of the Community should work together to improve the Community as a whole.

Children are the lifeline for the future of Williams and improving the facilities for this demographic is essential. I strongly support the development of sporting clubs, schools and other groups within the Shire. I stand to ensure the community is heard as a whole and support future projects that aim to enhance and develop the Community.

 BAKER, Robert

I believe my background of business management and a lifelong involvement in agriculture and rural communities, has enabled me to have some constructive input into the development of the Williams town and district during my last 4 years as a councillor.

My key interests are in the long-term planning for the future development of the region and the ability of the community to cater for and adapt to change whilst continuing to seek opportunities that will enhance the wellbeing of our existing and future residents.

I will continue to promote our district and to help foster close working relationships with our regional shires for additional housing, road, and rail infrastructure development.

District                           Shire of Williams

Candidate Name       Simon HARDING

Nominating for            Councillor

Election Type                Ordinary

 HARDING, Simon

I was born and raised in Williams. After finishing a Bachelor of Business and a year's travel I returned to the family farm north of Williams where I live with my wife Bronny.

We run a cropping/sheep farm and an export hay processing plant. I have two children, Rachel who completed her Masters in Forensics and joined the Police Academy and Oliver in his final year at Curtin University studying a Bachelor of Agribusiness.

For the wellbeing of the community, I support local businesses in Williams where possible and involve myself in the community.

I want to see our Shire remain prosperous and vibrant. I am seeking re-election to continue the tasks that I have been involved in and to contribute fresh ideas, listening to the community needs and to bring another perspective to problem solving.

Candidate Name       Christine COWCHER

Nominating for            Councillor

Election Type                Ordinary

 COWCHER, Christine

I have lived in the Williams District for most of my life with links to the history of this community. I live in Quindanning on a farming property with Warren, and have three daughters. I am a primary school teacher, having worked predominately at Williams Primary School. I have been involved in some local groups, such as the netball club and the Williams Repertory Club, undertaking a variety of roles. I wish to be able to contribute to the future development and wellbeing of the Williams community, using my professional and interpersonal skills to represent the residents in the Williams district. I believe Williams can build on its positive reputation by expanding on sustainable projects that explore the natural environment, such as walking trails and historical landmarks in the shire.
