The Shire of Williams restricted burning period is being extended to the 𝟏𝟑 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Permits are required from Brigade captains from now until that time, or the restricted burning period is lifted through any further advice.

The Shire of Williams is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced external independent persons for the roles of Presiding Member and a Deputy of the Presiding Member on the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC).

From 1 January 2026 vehicles built or modified from 1 January 2019 must display an EV or H label to help emergency services respond safely. From 1 January 2027, fines will apply if owners fail to display the appropriate label.
